Three marines were stranded on a desert island with a lovely young blonde.
After about 6 months the blonde, being so ashamed of what she had been doing, killed herself... About a year later, the marines, being a little ashamed of what they had been doing, buried her!!!

Sgt French had a scar around his waist where a Jap had sliced him in two with a Samurai sword. Actually the butchers at the Naval Hospital got him. But the crowd at The Blue Fox wasn't that discriminating and you could sell them a story like that. French had his time in and then some and only stayed to funnel munitions to an old Magonero involved in some charity work in Guerrero. I learned about marines from a marine. A very remorseful one. I've seen a lot of marines in recovery but French made amends. I hope some his gifts to the poor found their mark.

A Marine and an Airman are walking down a country rode when the Airman spots a goat standing by the side of the road with its horns caught between the rails of the fence. The Airman looks at the Marine and says, "Man, I've always wanted to give that a try." He looks around, sees there's nobody nearby, then drops his pants and proceeds to sodomize the hapless goat. When he's done, he pulls his pants up, grins at the Marine, and says "Okay, your turn." --So the Marine sticks his head through the fence.

Quote of the week...
"After 19 years in the U.S. Senate, my opponent has had thousands of votes, but few signature achievements. In fact, he and his running mate consistently opposed reforms that limit the power of Washington -- reforms that would leave more power in the hands of the people." --

Announces... :p
There apears to be a...
http://static.sky.com/images/pictures/1233395.jpg ...SHADOW OVER CONFERENCE
Smoke rises over Baghdad
Iraq's first steps towards democracy have been marred by a large explosion near the site of a major conference on the country's future.
The blast came two hours after three mortar bombs went off just a few hundred metres away from the convention centre.
Two people died and 17 were injured in the mortar attack.
Earlier, gunfire was heard in Najaf, where peace talks between the interim government and Shi'ite Muslim militiamen broke down yesterday.
A large number of delegates walked out of the conference in protest at the apparent resumption of the US-led offensive fighting in the holy city.
Chaired by prime minister Iyad Allawi, the conference is being attended by 1,300 delegates.
But it has been boycotted by radical Shi'ite Muslim cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and the influential Sunni Committee of Muslim Scholars.
Both have dismissed it as unrepresentative.
There were fears the 11-day conflict in Najaf, which has led to hundreds of deaths, would stop the event going ahead.
God Bless America

LEFT BRAIN /RIGHT BRAIN
This is one of the strangest things I have ever encountered!
While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot completely off the floor and make clockwise circles.
Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it.

The potential grassroots impact of the war issue is highlighted by the fact that 48% of Americans say they know someone who is currently serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. Among these voters, Bush currently has a ten-point advantage in the poll. Fifty-four percent (54%) of veterans know someone serving in these war zones.
When it comes to perceptions of the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is likely that information from family and friends has a bigger impact than news coverage.
Overall, 47% of voters believe that Bush would make a better Commander-in-Chief than John Kerry. Forty-five percent (45%) take the opposite view and say Kerry would do a better job. This closely reflects the overall voter preference in the race for the White House (on the nights of this survey, Kerry attracted 48% of the total vote to 45% for Bush).
Happily Marine vets are mostly too drunk to vote, so there will be no impact on the election from them!

"I spent most of this year in Iraq, and the outpouring of warmth, kindness and love from the American people was inspiring and humbling to me. I received dozens of letters others from strangers -- saying they were praying for me. And my experience was not unique. There also seemed to be a limitless supply of care packages addressed to 'any soldier, sailor, airmen, or marine.' As the saying goes, 'only in America.' That's why those of us in the military are proud to do what we do.

Father O'Malley rose from his bed. It was a fine spring day in his new Washington, DC parish.
He walked to the window of his bedroom to get a deep breath of the beautiful day outside. It was then he noticed a jackass lying dead in the middle of his front lawn.
He promptly called the US Senate for assistance. The conversation went like this: "Good morning. This is Senator Kerry. How might I help you?"
"And the best of the day te yerself. This is Father O'Malley at St. Brigid's. There's a jackass lying dead in me front lawn. Would ye be so kind as to send a couple o' yer lads to take care of the matter?"
Senator Kerry, considering himself to be quite a wit, replied with a smirk, "Well now father, it was always my impression that you people took care of last rites!"
There was dead silence on the line for a long moment. Father O'Malley then replied: "Aye, that's certainly true, but we are also obliged to notify the next of kin." :p

Bring it on, John
Oliver North
August 27, 2004
http://www.townhall.com/graphics1/columnists/north.gif "Of course, the president keeps telling people he would never question my service to our country. Instead, he watches as a Republican-funded attack group does just that. Well, if he wants to have a debate about our service in Vietnam, here is my answer: 'Bring it on.'"
-- Sen. John Kerry
Dear John,
As usual, you have it wrong. You don't have a beef with President George Bush about your war record. He's been exceedingly generous about your military service. Your complaint is with the 2.5 million of us who served honorably in a war that ended 29 years ago and which you, not the president, made the centerpiece of this campaign.
I talk to a lot of vets, John, and this really isn't about your medals or how you got them. Like you, I have a Silver Star and a Bronze Star. I only have two Purple Hearts, though. I turned down the others so that I could stay with the Marines in my rifle platoon. But I think you might agree with me, though I've never heard you say it, that the officers always got more medals than they earned and the youngsters we led never got as many medals as they deserved.
This really isn't about how early you came home from that war, either, John. There have always been guys in every war who want to go home. There are also lots of guys, like those in my rifle platoon in Vietnam, who did a full 13 months in the field. And there are, thankfully, lots of young Americans today in Iraq and Afghanistan who volunteered to return to war because, as one of them told me in Ramadi a few weeks ago, "the job isn't finished."
Nor is this about whether you were in Cambodia on Christmas Eve, 1968. Heck John, people get lost going on vacation. If you got lost, just say so. Your campaign has admitted that you now know that you really weren't in Cambodia that night and that Richard Nixon wasn't really president when you thought he was. Now would be a good time to explain to us how you could have all that bogus stuff "seared" into your memory -- especially since you want to have your finger on our nation's nuclear trigger.
But that's not really the problem, either. The trouble you're having, John, isn't about your medals or coming home early or getting lost -- or even Richard Nixon. The issue is what you did to us when you came home, John.
When you got home, you co-founded Vietnam Veterans Against the War and wrote "The New Soldier," which denounced those of us who served -- and were still serving -- on the battlefields of a thankless war. Worst of all, John, you then accused me -- and all of us who served in Vietnam -- of committing terrible crimes and atrocities.
On April 22, 1971, under oath, you told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that you had knowledge that American troops "had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of South Vietnam." And you admitted on television that "yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed."
And for good measure you stated, "(America is) more guilty than any other body, of violations of (the) Geneva Conventions ... the torture of prisoners, the killing of prisoners."
Your "antiwar" statements and activities were painful for those of us carrying the scars of Vietnam and trying to move on with our lives. And for those who were still there, it was even more hurtful. But those who suffered the most from what you said and did were the hundreds of American prisoners of war being held by Hanoi. Here's what some of them endured because of you, John:
Capt. James Warner had already spent four years in Vietnamese custody when he was handed a copy of your testimony by his captors. Warner says that for his captors, your statements "were proof I deserved to be punished." He wasn't released until March 14, 1973.
Maj. Kenneth Cordier, an Air Force pilot who was in Vietnamese custody for 2,284 days, says his captors "repeated incessantly" your one-liner about being "the last man to die" for a lost cause. Cordier was released March 4, 1973.
Navy Lt. Paul Galanti says your accusations "were as demoralizing as solitary (confinement) ... and a prime reason the war dragged on." He remained in North Vietnamese hands until February 12, 1973.
John, did you think they would forget? When Tim Russert asked about your claim that you and others in Vietnam committed "atrocities," instead of standing by your sworn testimony, you confessed that your words "were a bit over the top." Does that mean you lied under oath? Or does it mean you are a war criminal? You can't have this one both ways, John. Either way, you're not fit to be a prison guard at Abu Ghraib, much less commander in chief.
One last thing, John. In 1988, Jane Fonda said: "I would like to say something ... to men who were in Vietnam, who I hurt, or whose pain I caused to deepen because of things that I said or did. I was trying to help end the killing and the war, but there were times when I was thoughtless and careless about it and I'm ... very sorry that I hurt them. And I want to apologize to them and their families."
Even Jane Fonda apologized. Will you, John?
God Bless America

Tax Day
Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government.
This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice anything special about those dates?
Today John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.
Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men. Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).
Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to avoid paying his own.
Pass this on. the election will be here before you know it!.

BESLAN, Russia- Russia's top general threatened on Wednesday to attack "terrorist bases" anywhere in the world, as security services put a $10 million bounty on two Chechen rebels they blame for last week's school siege.

Relatives of killed hostages grieve over their graves in the town of Beslan, September 8, 2004. Russia's top general said he was ready to attack 'terrorist bases' anywhere in the world, as security services put a $10 million bounty on two Chechen rebels blamed for last week's school siege.
(Dima Korotayev/Reuters)
In Vladikavkaz, capital of North Ossetia where the school is located, a crowd of 2,500 denounced the region's president. From a balcony, he told jeering protesters he would sack his administration, but later said he would stay in office.
"As for launching pre-emptive strikes on terrorist bases, we will carry out all measures to liquidate terrorist bases in any region of the world," said General Yuri Baluevsky, chief of Russia's general staff.
The FSB security service announced the $10 million reward for information leading to the "neutralization" of Aslan Maskhadov and Shamil Basayev, the two most prominent separatist leaders after a decade of conflict in mainly Muslim Chechnya (news - web sites).
But liberal parliamentary deputy Vladimir Ryzhkov said this twin approach only illustrated Russia's inconsistency.
"These are really strange statements because one of them indicates that we have not the slightest idea where the rebels are, while the second one indicates that we are still ready to use force anywhere," he told a conference.
In 2002, President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) accused neighboring Georgia of harboring Chechen rebel bases and said this gave Moscow the right to strike at suspects beyond Russia's borders.
A Qatar court sentenced two Russians to life in prison in June for killing Chechen militant Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev in the Gulf state. The judge said they had acted on orders from Moscow.
Maskhadov's London-based spokesman Akhmed Zakayev, told Reuters that constituted a "threat to Europe.
"I do not exclude that what they did in Qatar they could try to do in any European country," he said.
PROTESTERS DEMAND TO SEE PRESIDENT
Protesters massed in a Vladikavkaz square demanding to see North Ossetian President Alexander Dzasokhov and accusing him of incompetence for allowing the siege to end in catastrophe.
"I promise that in the next two days there will be an order dismissing all the government," Dzasokhov said to loud cheers.
Interviewed later on NTV television, the Kremlin-backed Dzasokhov said he had no intention of quitting himself.
"The situation was very tense, but it seemed to me there was agreement that urgent tasks must be carried out," he said.
"And given my previous years serving the state, there is no question of quitting ... I also have to take account of the opinions of those who were not at the rally."
Over 1,200 people were taken hostage in Beslan, near Chechnya, at least 326 were killed -- half of them children -- and 727 wounded, Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov said. Only 210 bodies have been identified.
The broadcast on Russian television of footage filmed by militants inside the school added to the horror of residents.
The pictures showed the school gym littered with what appeared to be bombs and bomb-making equipment and crammed with hostages, watched over by around six of the masked militants.
Authorities have blamed the hostage crisis on "international terrorists" -- something critics said was a fig leaf to mask the failure of Russia's Chechen policy.
The siege and ensuing battle were the latest in a string of attacks against Russian forces since Aug. 1, when Maskhadov promised a fiercer war against Moscow's rule. His spokesman Zakayev has denied the group was behind the school siege.
One captured suspect said the hostage-takers numbered around 30, including two women, Ustinov said.
Their leader was brutal in enforcing discipline. When some gunmen asked why they had seized the school, he shot one dead. He killed two more later by detonating their explosive belts.
Ustinov said the militants later tried to rewire their bombs but one exploded, triggering the storming of the school in what security analysts have slammed as a bungled operation.
More funeral processions passed through Beslan.
Lydia Ormanova, who has already buried her daughter Larisa and granddaughter Julia, found the body of Julia's sister Yana, 12, at the morgue on Wednesday, identifying it by her necklace. She was still searching for another granddaughter.
So, all of ya "PeanutPackers"...what about all the kids who have been slaughtered in this case... are you going to condemn the Russians for doing the right thing in their attempt to wipe out terrorism "WorldWide"...

We Should Not Have Allowed 19 Murderers to Change our World
The Independent U.K.
By Robert Fisk
Saturday 11 September 2004
So, three years after the international crimes against humanity in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania we were bombing Fallujah. Come again? Hands up those who knew the name of Fallujah on 11 September 2001. Or Samarra. Or Ramadi. Or Anbar province. Or Amarah. Or Tel Afar, the latest target in our "war on terror'' although most of us would find it hard to locate on a map (look at northern Iraq, find Mosul and go one inch to the left). Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive.
Three years ago, it was all about Osama bin Laden and al-Qa'ida; then, at about the time of the Enron scandal * and I have a New York professor to thank for spotting the switching point * it was Saddam and weapons of mass destruction and 45 minutes and human rights abuses in Iraq and, well, the rest is history. And now, at last, the Americans admit that vast areas of Iraq are outside government control. We are going to have to "liberate" them, all over again.
Like we reliberated Najaf and Kufa, "to kill or capture Muqtada Sadr'', according to Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt, and like we lay siege to Fallujah back in April when we claimed, or at least the US Marines did, that we were going to eliminate "terrorism'' in the city. In fact, its local military commander has since had his head chopped off by the insurgents and Fallujah, save for an occasional bloody air raid, remains outside all government control.
These past two weeks, I've been learning a lot about the hatred Iraqis feel towards us. Trowelling back through my reporter's notebooks of the 1990s, I've found page after page of my hand-written evidence of Iraqi anger; fury at the sanctions which killed half a million children, indignation by doctors at our use of depleted uranium shells in the 1991 Gulf War (we used them again last year, but let's take these things one rage at a time) and deep, abiding resentment towards us, the West. One article I wrote for The Independent in 1998 asked why Iraqis do not tear us limb from limb, which is what some Iraqis did to the American mercenaries they killed in Fallujah last April.
But we expected to be loved, welcomed, greeted, fêted, embraced by these people. First, we bombarded Stone Age Afghanistan and proclaimed it "liberated", then we invaded Iraq to "liberate" Iraqis too. Wouldn't the Shia love us? Didn't we get rid of Saddam Hussein? Well, history tells a different story. We dumped the Sunni Muslim King Feisal on the Shia Muslims in the 1920s. Then we encouraged them to rise against Saddam in 1991, and left them to die in Saddam's torture chambers. And now, we reassemble Saddam's old rascals, their torturers, and put them back in power to "fight terror'', and we lay siege to Muqtada Sadr in Najaf.
We all have our memories of 11 September 2001. I was on a plane heading for America. And I remember, as the foreign desk at The Independent told me over the aircraft's satellite phone of each new massacre in the United States, how I told the captain, and how the crew and I prowled the plane to look for possible suicide pilots. I think I found about 13; alas, of course, they were all Arabs and completely innocent. But it told me of the new world in which I was supposed to live. "Them'' and "Us''.
In my airline seat, I started to write my story for that night's paper. Then I stopped and asked the foreign desk in London * by this time the aircraft was dumping its fuel off Ireland before returning to Europe * to connect me to the newspaper's copytaker, because only by "talking" my story to her, rather than writing it, could I find the words I needed. And so I "talked" my report, of folly and betrayal and lies in the Middle East, of injustice and cruelty and war, so it had come to this.
And in the days to come I learnt, too, what this meant. Merely to ask why the murderers of 11 September had done their bloody deeds was to befriend "terrorism". Merely to ask what had been in the minds of the killers was to give them support. Any cop, confronted by any crime, looks for a motive. But confronted by an international crime against humanity, we were not to be allowed to seek the motive. America's relations with the Middle East, especially the nature of its relationship with Israel, was to remain an unspoken and unquestioned subject.
I've come to understand, in the three years since, what this means. Don't ask questions. Even when I was almost killed by a crowd of Afghans in December 2001 * furious that their relatives had been killed in B-52 strikes * The Wall Street Journal announced in a headline that I had "got my due" because I was a "multiculturalist". I still get letters telling me that my mother, Peggy, was Adolf Eichmann's daughter.
Peggy was in the RAF in 1940, repairing radios on damaged Spitfires, as I recalled at her funeral in 1998. But I also remember, at the service in the chancel of the little stone Kentish church, that I angrily suggested that if President Bill Clinton had spent as much money on research into Parkinson's disease as he had just spent in firing cruise missiles into Afghanistan at Osama bin Laden (and it must have been the first time Bin Laden's name was uttered in the precincts of the Church of England) then my mother would not have been in the wooden box beside me.
She missed 11 September 2001 by three years and a day. But there was one thing she would, I feel sure, have agreed with me: That we should not allow 19 murderers to change our world. George Bush and Tony Blair are doing their best to make sure the murderers DO change our world. And that is why we are in Iraq.

Iraqi Forces Find Weapons in Sadr's Office Near Shrine
American Forces Press Service
Sept. 11, 2004
WASHINGTON, -- Iraqi police and the Iraqi Intervention Force found hundreds of illegal weapons hidden in secret rooms in the Najaf office of radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr on Sept. 9, according to a statement released by Multinational Force Iraq today on behalf of Iraq's interior ministry.
As part of their mission to clear the city of armed members of Sadr's militia and to remove weapons and ammunition caches, the Iraqi security forces searched Sadr's office, close to the Imam Ali shrine, the statement said. During the search, which took place with the Najaf governor's approval, the statement continued, Iraqi troops noticed fresh plaster on a wall in Sadr's office.
After breaking through the false wall, the soldiers found a secret hallway and rooms filled with mortars, rockets, machine guns and other weapons hidden from authorities when the militia vacated the city, the statement said.
Included in the secret cache were more than 10 mortar tubes, more than 145 mortar rounds, a dozen rockets, numerous anti-tank weapons including rocket- propelled grenade launchers, a heavy machine gun, an anti-aircraft gun, automatic rifles, mines, various other explosives and communications equipment, the statement said.
Soldiers from the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division Stryker Brigade Combat Team detained one person wanted for anti-Iraqi activities and discovered a variety of weapons and munitions Sept. 10 in northern Iraq, a Multinational Force Iraq news release reported today. Soldiers detained the suspect after finding suspected improvised explosive device switches hidden in the back of his car at a checkpoint in the neighborhood of Rissala. The suspect was turned over to Iraqi police.
During a separate patrol, soldiers found a large weapons cache in Tal Afar which consisted of five 120 mm mortar rounds, seven 57 mm mortar rounds, one 100 mm mortar round, one 82 mm mortar round, one 122 mm rocket and five assorted fuses. A U.S. explosive ordnance team destroyed the munitions with no injuries, the news release reported.
Another news release today report4ed that soldiers and medical personnel loaded three Iraqi ambulances Sept. 10 with $8,500 worth of medical supplies to be taken to the people of Tal Afar. Many of the residents of Tal Afar are leaving the city because of the increased activity by terrorists in recent days, the release said, and the International Red Crescent is working to provide shelter and medical care for the displaced citizens.
In an effort to help these people, soldiers from the 416th Civil Affairs Battalion Public Health Team and the Stryker Brigade Combat Team's surgeon bought and donated medical supplies such as blood transfusion sets, intravenous fluids, needles, gauze and bandages to treat the civilian casualties that have resulted from terrorist activities in the area, the release reported. Multinational forces also gave an extra $5,000 to the Iraqi health ministry to purchase anesthesia, medication and other medical supplies for the residents of Tal Afar, the release added.
"This project underscores the commitment of multinational forces to assist the Iraqi people and to combat terrorism," the news release said. "The soldiers will continue to work with the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people to provide aid for the victims of terrorist attacks."

Insurgency in Iraq will be brought under control, says Powell
Associated Press
9/12/2004 12:51 PM
WASHINGTON — Secretary of State Colin Powell said Sunday that the United States has a plan to quash the insurgency raging in several Iraqi cities and bring those areas under control in time for national elections in January.
Powell acknowledged that the U.S.-led coalition faces a "difficult time," but he said the Bush administration is committed to making Iraq stable.
"This is not the time to get weak in the knees or faint about it, but to drive on and finish the work that we started," he told NBC's Meet the Press.
The secretary of state said U.S. commanders are working with Iraqi military leaders and the interim government of Prime Minister Ayad Allawi to put down the extremists in control of Fallujah and other cities.
The insurgency "will be brought under control," Powell said. "It's not an impossible task."
Powell also dismissed the possibility of delaying Iraqi elections, which are scheduled for the end of January. "Nobody's planning to postpone the elections," he said.
"When that insurgency is put down, what the people of the world will see are Iraqis in charge of their own destiny, moving forward toward an election that will provide for a representative form of government," said Powell. "It's going to be something that we'll be able to be proud of.
Later, on Fox News Sunday, Powell spoke of fighting "a difficult insurgency." But, he added, "We have to make sure that we prevail over that insurgency — not just us, but the Iraqi interim government, as well. And we will prevail. And there will be elections."
Last week, U.S. jets targeted insurgents in Fallujah with missiles over a four-day period. U.S. and Iraqi authorities lost control of the city in April, and Marines turned it over to a U.S.-sanctioned force of Iraqis that has since disappeared.
Powell acknowledged the possibility that the violence could continue in Iraq "for some time. This insurgency isn't going to go away."
He pointed to the buildup of Iraq's security forces and said the Baghdad government increasingly would be able to handle "its own security problem."
"I think the insurgency can be brought down to a level, and I'd like to see it go away entirely. I want to see it defeated. But I think, over time, you will see it being brought under control," Powell said.
The United States realized at the time of the transfer of political control this summer that it was "the time of maximum danger as the insurgents come after us" in hopes of derailing the upcoming elections.
"We're not going to let them go back" to the days of Saddam Hussein, Powell said. "We can't let them go back."
"So this is not the time to simply take counsel of our fears and say, 'Oh, this is terrible, terrible.' We've faced challenges like this in the past and we've overcome them, and we'll overcome them in this instance, as well," Powell said.
He added that the United States "did miscalculate the difficulty" of curbing the insurgency after the war, but did not underestimate the challenge being facing now. Thus, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has left more troops in Iraq than the United States had expected to a few months ago.
"When the situation changes, you adjust," Powell said.

Bring it on, John
by Oliver North
August 27, 2004
"Of course, the president keeps telling people he would never question my service to our country.
When Tim Russert asked about your claim that you and others in Vietnam committed "atrocities," instead of standing by your sworn testimony, you confessed that your words "were a bit over
