Colon-o = :o, which are also the first two characters of colon-oops-colon.
Therefore, :oops:.
Anything we can do to fix this?

ok.. i deleted "colon o". you can still use "colon - o" to get the same "surprised smilie.
"colon oops colon" will work for oops now.

Could it be a browser issue with me? IE 5.1, Mac G3 under OS9.1, Western(Latin1) character set.
It's a small problem with which to pester you, but thanks for your attention.
