Halva did the same exact thing again after A Voice told him not to. She has banned him for two days.

I think there are efforts being made to keep real people off the chemtrail forums. Maybe these types of things are part of that.

I think WMM got canned. That Jim Phelps dude got conveniently canned. He was posting here nonstop. I wish he was still here so he could show some proof about who he is without just giving a link to his fruitcake website.

I like DBS because they don't ban people in knee-jerk ways. They even let people start threads in this section to complain about moderators. A Voice is very nice. She really tries hard to stay true to this board's mission, to allow all kinds of views into the picture.

Halva was banned for two days for violating our rules about sharing private information.

We do not permanently ban people for their views.

Moderators can not possibly read and track the entire forum and we rely on our posters to help keep DBS an enjoyable place to share ideas.

More often than not moderators just send a private message (pm) to the offender pointing out the violation and a requist to tone it down, knock it off, whatever is appropriate. Usually that is suffient.

If the poster continues to offend then harsher methods are brought. The majority of posters merely slip. Once what they did is pointed out they usually apolgize and life goes on. Let's face it, in the heat of the moment we all do dumb things we regret.

Permanent banning takes many repeat offenses or threats or outright unlawful behavior. For everything else it's a pm, then a day or two wearing the dunce cap of temporary banning. You can get more time with repeat offenses.
