These people think that everything in the world today started when they were born. This form of social friction has been going on that area of the world since mankind has been there. Today it is even less so. There are more forms of negociations today that would never have been considered a thousand years ago.

IDF kills by mistake a Palestinian girl aged 10

"A Palestinian girl aged 10, Akbar Abd-el-Rahman Zayed, from the village El-Yamun near Jenin was killed last Friday night by the IDF ("Israeli Defence Forces").
She was shot in the head while driven by a family relative to the village clinic.
Friday night a unit of the Border Guard, dressed up as Arabs, went to arrest people on the "Wanted" list, mostly of the "Islamic Jihad", and surrounded some houses.
Palestinian eye witnesses said that during the operation soldiers shot without warning at a taxi approaching the area. The shots killed the girl and wounded the driver, her uncle, and another girl of 13. The IDF said the car tried to escape from a road block and the soldiers.opened firs according to the procedure of "arresting suspects".
The operation, which failed to arrest the suspects and killed the girl, was defined as a severe operational failure. The IDF expressed regrets for killing an innocent person and promised an enquiry. Kamal Zayed, the girl's uncle, who drove her and was shot in the arm, said he drove her to the clinic to remove some stitches. He claims the soldiers opened fire without warning killing the girl instantly. Thousands from the Jenin area participated in her funeral yesterday in the village of El-Yamun.
Sources in Jenin said the "Wanted", who hid in a house, had a long exchange of fire with the IDF, refused to surrender, and finally escaped. The IDF explained that the terrorists operate from within the population which provides them with shelter and often use children for terrorist purposes. All this creates difficulties for the IDF but relative to the large number of operations the number of innocents killed is small.
According to the Israeli Centre for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories ("Betselem")13 Palestinian children have been killed by the IDF since the start of 2006 of which 6 were killed as innocent by-passers from rockets fired at terrorists.
During 2005 33 children were killed by the IDF. "
