Should we all just stop paying federal SS taxes and work for ourselves so employers can't take the money from us automatically? I like the idea of ensuring my retirement myself and not counting on the government to dictate whether or not I get to retire gracefully and have the quality of late life I deserve. However, what's the answer for the masses who can't fend for themselves, etc.? We need a change in how we view old age and the dependence on government.
