All the US National Labs that are operated by the US DOE are notoriously GOP oriented. They all like weapons and wars and many are operated by big war monger contractors like Lockheed-Martin. Lockheed-Martin is big time into the jet business and it is easy to get their ear in high places to point to serious problems and toss out the ideas to fix them before they became worse.

In the 1980s, places like Oak Ridge were just becoming aware of how much they had screwed up with their reckless persuits of nuclear bombs. Congress and the President wanted lots of bombs, as cheep as possible, and making the workers sick was of little concern.

Then in the 1980s, Environmentalists came along and shut down places like DOE's Rocky Flats plutonium core fab plant. Even got the plant's managers criminally indicted by the FBI's Environmental Crimes Unit. This got all the DOE up in arms. DOE plant managers had thought they were immune to rules and regulations up till then.

DOE HQ in DC commissioned reports like The State of the Oceans Report by the ORNL Environmental Sciences Division. This report was all about forewarning the DOE of things to come that would get into the field of view of environmentalists. The big ORNL Oceans report was all about the impact of energy systems on oceans. Something that DOE was supposed to be entirely aware of, but the assessment was so bad it forewarned of Environmental disaster.

The Freon problems were heating up and DOE was the largest user of Freon for varied purposes, and they used it in Oak Ridge by the train car load to make nuclear weapons.

Finally, in May 1985, the journal Nature published concrete findings by Joe Farman, Brian Gardiner, and Jonathan Shanklin from the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge of substantial losses in ozone over Halley Bay in Antarctica (Warr 1990; Sinclair 1998 ). This area came to be coined the "ozone hole." The word "hole", though, refers to an area where the ozone layer is particularly thin, not an absence of stratospheric ozone altogether. Others have since corroborated the results which showed that the damage was much worse than the commonly accepted computer simulations to date had predicted. By the end of 1986 negotiations to limit CFC emissions began, and the Montreal Protocol was finally agreed upon and signed on September 16, 1987 (Warr 1990 ). Twenty-four nations signed the original agreement, and though that was only a small portion of the world, those twenty-four nations were responsible for 99 percent of the total world consumption and 90 percent of the production of CFCs.

ORNL's entry into doing this Ocean's Report that addressed the impacts of Energy Systems on Oceans was the Clarion Call for attention. So, the UVb and Freon problems hit the forefront and the impact of this on ocean plankton and cloud forming systems over the Southern Oceans became a seriously hot issue.

ORNL's Environmental Sciences had one of the better Limnologists trained by Michigan State's Dr. Robert Wetzel, who was tops in the country. So the research product for DOE-HQ was going to be a top quality forecast of problems to come.


Once it was pinned down that the phytoplankton damage and the DMS and DMSO problems played a major role in the global warming effects and increases of CO2, then came the ideas for large systems that could in some way mimic or replace the losses of this effect. I was the first to realize that jet planes were of a large enough scale operation to gain a foothold on the problems.

I pointed to the simple fact that jet emissions of that era were causing positive GWP effects and some rather simple changes could be done to change that to negative GWP effects and make jets emissions less destructive. And forecast that unless these things were changed that Jets would be subject to limitations and regulations to limit global warming. The survival of the jet commercial service depended upon addressing this issue. Places like Lockheed-Martin that ran ORNL was quick to grab onto these ideas.

I was the first to come up with varied ideas to not only change the jets into negative GWP, but ways that could greatly increase those effects. Ways that were economical and realizable on a global scale. Jets could make massive amounts of cloud systems and since the incident radiation from the sun and this cloud reflection dominates the heat retention term for Earth, it would be able to affect global warming.


At the very same time, it was realized how the fluoride effects of DOE's operations had damaged the health of literally thousands of Oak Ridge workers. This happened via the fluoride accumulation in the Pineal Gland and AlF3 problems in mimicry of the TSH hormone. This was also the major element for problems like Mad Cow and even AIDS, as this same mechanims is in play. The coal emissions of HF and metals were making these problems in grazing animals, and this was the beginning of the titanium techniques. The titanium technique is being used on a very wide scale in all the human food chain these days.


So, basically the problems forecast was so bad---that Lockheed-Martin, DOE, Congress, the President, and EPA decided to cover it all up. Hide it, avoid having to explain that DOE had not done its job in protecting its workers from toxic problems, but also had failed to protect the global community from the serious problems of the ozone depletion. It became a time when the Govt. failed to do its job massively and they switched into essentially obstruction of justice type things to dodge the train wreck being disclosed. Essentially in Oak Ridge all the managers are afraid that they will all end up criminally indicted like the Rocky Flats managers that allowed the plutonium to blow in the wind from the plants knocked out filter systems.


The realization was that careless releases of freon from DOE weapons production, women's hair spray cans, car air conditioners, and etc. in the Nothern Hemishere had come to highly damage the ozone layer in the Southern Hemisphere and cause untold harm. Harm now that we all have to deal with for many decades to come.

Lots of it was cut back quickly. DOE is changing to centrafuge enrichment for uranium slowly--which does not need the Freon intercooler to keep the process from blowing up. Women's hair spray no longer uses CFC propellants. This slowed down the ozone hole some, but enough CFC are still being made to cause problems. Only way to address it is to make it all public.

Put the DOE crooks in jails, take the Congress and President with them---and let the Environmentalists notice that their concerns were valid all along.

NEW ORLEANS, LA, United States (UPI) -- Water from Lake Pontchartrain
threatened New Orleans` historic French Quarter Tuesday after the tourist mecca was
spared the brunt of Hurricane Katrina.

A breach in the 17th Street Canal levee Monday widened sending salt water
into Lakeview, Mid-City, Carrollton, Gentily, City Park and other neighborhoods,
the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.

Flooding was reported downtown and covered some 80 percent of the "Big Easy"
as pumps failed. Rescuers plucked people from rooftops by boat. The newspaper
was forced to evacuate its building Tuesday morning but vowed to continue to
publish an online edition.

With no electricity, sanitation or fresh water, citizens were not being
allowed to enter New Orleans. Both airports were under water and power could be out
four to six weeks, Mayor Ray Nagin told WWL-TV. Nagin said bodies were
floating in the water.

The Southern Yacht Club burned to the ground because firefighters were unable
to get to the building surrounded by floodwater.

I do not have the time to spend all of my waking hours on the subject. I do not have the energy needed to study every single aspect of the subject. This subject demands attention to physiology, biology, atmospheric pharmacology/chemistry, climate/weather based meteorology, Organic and inorganic chemistry, etc. etc. etc. You might as well throw in physics and mathematics as well.

It is not closed mindedness it is a matter of practicalities - you know ability to spend X amount of time pursuing the subject while still putting food on the table. I am not paid to research the subject here at home. I am not paid for the many hours in the library periodicals archive, nor on the computer surfing the web for related and semi-related topics. I can not afford the time, energy or money to go to university to get a few Phd’s under my belt to discuss every single angle of the subject in techno-babble.

TiO2 I have paper work on that, and all of its applied uses from house paint to sunscreen - TiO2 is in a lot of stuff – A LOT. I know its benefits and uses – no I do not know all of the medical aspects of it.

Limited Fashion, if you are willing to pay me say $1000 a week then I will study it in a less limited manner – I will be able to dedicate more time (40-60 hours a week) to the subject. Again practicalities come to mind.

I was assuming that your camping association sharing with one of the LLNL types that was involved in the modeling of some of these programs might have brought you to a higher level than perhaps you are.

Chemtrails Coming
Out Of The Closet?

Nearly seven years after extensive "lay downs" of lingering and spreading white plumes were first reported smearing skies over across North America, Europe is in an uproar and Washington could be close to coming clean about chemtrails.

At least the Bush White house will soon have a legitimate weather control agency to finally "launder" one of the biggest cons ever perpetrated.

Introduced in the US Senate on March 1, 2005, Bill S517 calls for a US "Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board" to officially commence operations in October 2005. When passed as expected, this law will make large-scale chemical alteration of the atmosphere legal across a formerly free and beautiful land called America.

It's already happening. Less than two weeks before the bill was introduced, Linda wrote from "up here in the mountains of northeast Georgia" of the worst spray day she had ever seen. "Not one day in the past two months have we had a blue sky with normal clouds," Linda wrote. Even normal clouds "are 'laced' with whatever the hell is coming out of those white planes that have no engine sounds, even when they fly low enough to see there is no printing anywhere on the planes."

Several years ago the US Air Force stated that it was repainting its silver aircraft white, and retrofitting its jet tanker fleet with "hush kits" to silence their engines.


DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE WEATHER

Whatever fresh environmental disaster Bill S517 accomplishes, this bill will ease the way for admission of a project suspected by many and confirmed by air traffic controllers at America's biggest airports. When and if the US public demands that their government "do something" about the extreme weather pummeling their neighborhoods, Washington will be able to officially reply, "We are."

Intended to "develop and implement a comprehensive and coordinated national weather modification policy," the board is tasked with coordinating state and federal weather modification efforts. It's direct mandate is stepped-up research and development aimed at developing experimental "models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes" to change or control, "by artificial methods" the development of clouds and/or precipitation in the troposphere. This weather-forming region of the atmosphere lies between Earth's surface and the stratosphere, starting around 35,000 feet.

The federal weather modifiers will now directly oversee the cloud-seeding operations currently being carried out over dozens of states to increase rain and snowfall for irrigation, electrical power and winter recreation purposes. As droughts intensify under an onslaught of moisture-absorbing chemicals dispensed behind ozone-destroying jet tankers, and future towns wash away in sudden flash floods triggered by rain-inducing atmospheric tinkering, these unnatural disasters and other "inadvertent" effects of weather modification will be closely "studied" by the newly created board.

But no studies have been released on the implications of wide-scale alteration of regional atmospheric heat balances.

Large-scale weather modification is banned under the United Nations Environmental Modification Convention signed by Washington in 1970.


CHEMTRAILS 2005

Meanwhile, recent heavy "Chemtrail" spraying over Portland, Oregon and Canada's west coast has eased off once again. Another long-time Chemtrail "hot zone", Santa Cruz, California continues reporting clear blue skies unmarked by the chemplanes' ugly scrawl.

As recently as May 2005, a Swiss resident sent photographs to Meria Heller's website, reporting: "Today was one of the heaviest Spraying in Switzerland ever."


CHEMTRAILS CLOSE-UP

Some Canadians also have their eyes wide open. in June 2005, large graffiti spray-painted on a major overpass in West Vancouver advised motorists: WAKE UP, LOOK UP, CHEMTRAILS ARE EVERYWHERE.


AIR FORCE INSIDER DESCRIBES WEATHER MOD MISSIONS

An active duty air force crew chief has described environmental combat missions already being flown by specially-outfitted C-130 Hercules transports, which can be reloaded, refueled and relaunched in just 10 minutes to continue their assault on violent storms afflicting US communities. Flown by regular air force pilots, these "science flights" include onboard meteorologists, who painstakingly log the results of each mission.

Big storm fronts and hurricanes require a vast amount of absorbent chemicals to reduce their destructive power. To achieve the fast turn-around times needed to complete their missions, flights of returning C-130s taxi to a stop and immediately commence refueling as the empty onboard spray canister is removed. as soon as the empty canister is clear of the aircraft, a waiting truck wheels a semi-trailer-size container of sky-seeding chemicals to the plane's lowered rear ramp, where it is slid inside on rails like a gigantic "soda dispenser".

The crew chief added that other spray missions spread (barium) chemtrails to facilitate 3D radar mapping of the entire continental United States. He also said that the air force has been spraying storm fronts "for a long time". The military's main interest, he added, is experimentation aimed at gaining control of the weather for military use.

Did the air force spray this year's first Caribbean hurricane, in which the western quadrant disintegrated just before making its Texas landfall? "There's no reason they wouldn't," the crew chief replied.

But C-130 turboprops would not necessarily be used to try to influence hurricanes that typically release more energy than all atomic arsenals combined. Referring to the 757s recently modified for aerial spraying, the crew chief told willthomas.net, "We've got them, but I can't talk about them."

He added that many people in the air force "are aware of William Thomas" and his reporting on chemtrails. The crew chief confirmed that this reporter "has it mostly right" concerning the application and purposes behind chemtrails. But would not elaborate on my reporting.

EUROPEAN CHEMTRAIL UPROAR

Meanwhile, the chemtrails controversy has taken Europe by storm following a series of articles by Swiss freelance journalist Gabriel Stetter in the German popular science magazine Raum+Zeit (Space and Time), circulation circa 50,000.

Stetter's first article, "White Skies" created a public relations nightmare for Greenpeace when it informed readers in January 2004 how "Thousands of people were thoroughly shocked when they realised, and were informed by Greenpeace in Germany, Switzerland and Austria that-for some reason or other-Greenpeace has no interest in the Chemtrail question whatsoever."

The Swiss government also came under public pressure to explain the checkerboards being painted in its skies. On March 5, 2004 the Environment Department in Berne, Switzerland responded to an inquiry by Rudolf Rechsteiner, Social Democratic member of parliament, admitting that "A number of ideas exist that show how it would be possible to reduce global warming by technical means, at least in the short term."

But these ideas, the government office hastened to add, "are no more than theoretical. We are not aware of any practical application of these methods, either at home or abroad."

Ten days later, Greenpeace Switzerland climate and transport expert Cyrill Studer wrote an internal memo assuring colleagues that while he had "heard of the chemtrails phenomenon," for the present, Greenpeace "will not be following up the theme of chemtrails."

Two reasons for inaction by Greenpeace climate change activists were given. First, Studer explained, "There is not a sufficiently solid scientific basis" for Greenpeace to risk its budget and reputation verifying this "supposed phenomenon". To do so, he added in his memo to Greenpeace staff, "would overstretch our capacities.Important elements of our climate campaign would suffer, particularly the promotion of energy efficiency and of renewable energies, or our active influence in present-day politics."

Outside Greenpeace's corporate offices, the controversy continued. On June 11 German Greenpeace spokeswoman Kristine Läger told concerned constituents:

The idea of reducing global warming by putting chemicals in the atmosphere has been around a long time. There are various proposals in this direction, suggesting the chemicals should be independently sprayed and that they should be mixed with the fuel of ordinary passenger aircraft. Whether in Germany such proposals have reached the point of actual realization is highly questionable. So far as we are aware there are no indications from research and observation of weather and climate that these so-called chemtrails exist. Nor are we aware of any project that has been realized in practice.. in all probability this is not happening.

But Gabriel Stetter believes that the Greenpeace "Rainbow Warriors" know all about the rainbows in the sky. They probably also know of geoengineering studies to reduce incoming sunlight and slow global warming issued by the National Academy of Sciences. "And they may even have taken a look at the Welsbach Patent," he writes. "But they have no idea what conclusions to draw from the chessboard pattern suspended in the Hamburg sky or the aluminium-enriched 'rainbows'.

"Supposing the word 'chemtrails' appeared in print in the Greenpeace Magazine," Stetter speculates. "How many tens of thousands of people more would look up into the sky and recognize that the supposedly Utopian "proposal" has long moved on via "spraying trials" to a systematic, long-term spreading of cloud cover over the whole of Europe?"

Back in Basel, Gabriel Stetter quoted unsourced opinion polls showing that in this "stronghold" of chemtrails believers, one in ten people "have already heard of them despite the media blackout. Several thousand people in the prosperous town at the bend in the Rhine know that the chemtrails phenomenon suggests that something is seriously wrong."

Among these Swiss chemtrails activists, he explained, "are well-to-do people, who because of their environmental awareness have been for a long time, in some cases for decades, members of Greenpeace."

Not any more.

"Veteran anti-nuclear activists, campaigners for animal welfare or against electrosmog-in their alarm they had all turned to Greenpeace because of the chemtrails, which are visible everywhere in the skies above Basel. But a painful experience awaited all of them. They were palmed off with the same unsatisfactory answers that we have by now grown tired of hearing. The consequence drawn by these elderly, well-to-do activists from Greenpeace's lack of interest was the immediate cancellation of membership of many years, the withdrawal of legacies, and the withholding of payments to Greenpeace until further notice."

As Brian Holmes notes on his website, www.holmestead.ca, the October 2004 issue #131 of the Raum + Zeit contained many pages of letters from readers responding positively to Stetter's first article in issue #127. "Many of these letters are illustrated with color photographs supplied by the readers themselves."

GERMAN PARLIMENTARTIAN "ADMITS" CHEMTRAIL

Former six-year a board member of Greenpeace Germany, Monika Griefahn chaired the Committee for Culture and Media of the Federal German Parliament when she replied to a letter from two chemtrails dissenters in July 2004, stating, "I am in basic agreement with your concerns. Instead of making a concerted and determined effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the world, experiments of various kinds are being carried out in the earth's atmosphere in order to cure the symptoms."

After assuring her correspondents, "I share your concern over the use of aluminium or barium compounds which have a considerable toxic potential," the parliamentarian went on to say, "however, so far as I am aware the extent of their use is so far minimal."

"At last!" Stetter announced in the German science magazine. "There we have it. In the skies of Germany, so Social Democratic member of Parliament Monika Griefahn tells us, aluminium and barium compounds are being spread just as tens of thousands of concerned citizens have observed, documented and bitterly deplored."

Thanking the Honorable Griefahn her for her courage, Stetter suggested, "Maybe one day statues of politicians like Monika Griefahn or the equally plucky US Congressman Dennis Kucinich will adorn in marble splendor the squares of newly verdant German or American cities."

That would be nice.

But the public outcry in Europe will have to spread to North America if we are to stop this massive, illegal and continuing air and atmospheric pollution.

The Alfred E. Newman syndrome is common to both GOP Reynolds and GOP Bush. Bush is always giving the middle finger to the TV crews, and Reynolds has to copy his hero. Jake Reynolds and Elwood Bush, just like in the blue movie about a mission for god, wound up their degenerate entertainment tear locked up in prison for life.


The way the GOP handles serious problems these days is via absolute denial. The lie: There is no global warming and there is not chemtrail activities. They lie, and when you see the magnitude of what they are trying to hide you can see why there is a big political affront to telling the truth. The Democrates do no better and stand with hands in pockets thinking to let the GOP's crooks catch the heat for what is to come.

What happened to the Gulf Coast on Monday will only become worse in the years to come and acclerate as the methane problems start to contribute. New Orleans and the Gulf coast will continue to be pounded by these higher powered and more frequent large storms. New Orleans likely won't ever recover from here on out, it is going to be nothing but more of decline and more of the same. Half the people that lost homes totally, won't stay in these areas. New Orleans and this Gulf Coast region has something like 1/3 of the oil sector located there and 8 large refineries are totally off line. Two major gasoline pipelines to most of the South were cut power for their pumps and gas shortages are happening. Gas has hit $6 a gallon in Atlanta today, and a general price rise past $3 a gallon will continue to rise to $4. Most of the enconomy is going to go into recession and the economic indicators already showing the turn. Prices for everything are rising.

This is what happens when the US supports politicians that lie about these serious problems we now face. There was no real preparedness, so Now it hits the fan and gets worse from here on out. Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..
A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.

The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.

'Disruption and conflict will be endemic features of life,' concludes the Pentagon analysis. 'Once again, warfare would define human life.'

The findings will prove humiliating to the Bush administration, which has repeatedly denied that climate change even exists. Experts said that they will also make unsettling reading for a President who has insisted national defence is a priority.

The report was commissioned by influential Pentagon defence adviser Andrew Marshall, who has held considerable sway on US military thinking over the past three decades. He was the man behind a sweeping recent review aimed at transforming the American military under Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

Climate change 'should be elevated beyond a scientific debate to a US national security concern', say the authors, Peter Schwartz, CIA consultant and former head of planning at Royal Dutch/Shell Group, and Doug Randall of the California-based Global Business Network.

An imminent scenario of catastrophic climate change is 'plausible and would challenge United States national security in ways that should be considered immediately', they conclude. As early as next year widespread flooding by a rise in sea levels will create major upheaval for millions.

Last week the Bush administration came under heavy fire from a large body of respected scientists who claimed that it cherry-picked science to suit its policy agenda and suppressed studies that it did not like. Jeremy Symons, a former whistleblower at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), said that suppression of the report for four months was a further example of the White House trying to bury the threat of climate change.

Senior climatologists, however, believe that their verdicts could prove the catalyst in forcing Bush to accept climate change as a real and happening phenomenon. They also hope it will convince the United States to sign up to global treaties to reduce the rate of climatic change.

A group of eminent UK scientists recently visited the White House to voice their fears over global warming, part of an intensifying drive to get the US to treat the issue seriously. Sources have told The Observer that American officials appeared extremely sensitive about the issue when faced with complaints that America's public stance appeared increasingly out of touch.

One even alleged that the White House had written to complain about some of the comments attributed to Professor Sir David King, Tony Blair's chief scientific adviser, after he branded the President's position on the issue as indefensible.

Among those scientists present at the White House talks were Professor John Schellnhuber, former chief environmental adviser to the German government and head of the UK's leading group of climate scientists at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. He said that the Pentagon's internal fears should prove the 'tipping point' in persuading Bush to accept climatic change.

Sir John Houghton, former chief executive of the Meteorological Office - and the first senior figure to liken the threat of climate change to that of terrorism - said: 'If the Pentagon is sending out that sort of message, then this is an important document indeed.'

Bob Watson, chief scientist for the World Bank and former chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, added that the Pentagon's dire warnings could no longer be ignored.

'Can Bush ignore the Pentagon? It's going be hard to blow off this sort of document. Its hugely embarrassing. After all, Bush's single highest priority is national defence. The Pentagon is no wacko, liberal group, generally speaking it is conservative. If climate change is a threat to national security and the economy, then he has to act. There are two groups the Bush Administration tend to listen to, the oil lobby and the Pentagon,' added Watson.

'You've got a President who says global warming is a hoax, and across the Potomac river you've got a Pentagon preparing for climate wars. It's pretty scary when Bush starts to ignore his own government on this issue,' said Rob Gueterbock of Greenpeace.

Already, according to Randall and Schwartz, the planet is carrying a higher population than it can sustain. By 2020 'catastrophic' shortages of water and energy supply will become increasingly harder to overcome, plunging the planet into war. They warn that 8,200 years ago climatic conditions brought widespread crop failure, famine, disease and mass migration of populations that could soon be repeated.

Randall told The Observer that the potential ramifications of rapid climate change would create global chaos. 'This is depressing stuff,' he said. 'It is a national security threat that is unique because there is no enemy to point your guns at and we have no control over the threat.'

Randall added that it was already possibly too late to prevent a disaster happening. 'We don't know exactly where we are in the process. It could start tomorrow and we would not know for another five years,' he said.

'The consequences for some nations of the climate change are unbelievable. It seems obvious that cutting the use of fossil fuels would be worthwhile.'

So dramatic are the report's scenarios, Watson said, that they may prove vital in the US elections. Democratic frontrunner John Kerry is known to accept climate change as a real problem. Scientists disillusioned with Bush's stance are threatening to make sure Kerry uses the Pentagon report in his campaign.

The fact that Marshall is behind its scathing findings will aid Kerry's cause. Marshall, 82, is a Pentagon legend who heads a secretive think-tank dedicated to weighing risks to national security called the Office of Net Assessment. Dubbed 'Yoda' by Pentagon insiders who respect his vast experience, he is credited with being behind the Department of Defence's push on ballistic-missile defence.

Symons, who left the EPA in protest at political interference, said that the suppression of the report was a further instance of the White House trying to bury evidence of climate change. 'It is yet another example of why this government should stop burying its head in the sand on this issue.'

Symons said the Bush administration's close links to high-powered energy and oil companies was vital in understanding why climate change was received sceptically in the Oval Office. 'This administration is ignoring the evidence in order to placate a handful of large energy and oil companies,' he added.

In 2001, FEMA warned that a hurricane striking New Orleans was one of the
three most likely disasters in the U.S. But the Bush administration cut New
Orleans flood control funding by 44 percent to pay for the Iraq war.

Biblical in its uncontrolled rage and scope, Hurricane Katrina has left
millions of Americans to scavenge for food and shelter and hundreds to thousands
reportedly dead. With its main levee broken, the evacuated city of New Orleans
has become part of the Gulf of Mexico. But the damage wrought by the hurricane
may not entirely be the result of an act of nature.

A year ago the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposed to study how New Orleans
could be protected from a catastrophic hurricane, but the Bush administration
ordered that the research not be undertaken. After a flood killed six people
in 1995, Congress created the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project,
in which the Corps of Engineers strengthened and renovated levees and pumping
stations. In early 2001, the Federal Emergency Management Agency issued a
report stating that a hurricane striking New Orleans was one of the three most
likely disasters in the U.S., including a terrorist attack on New York City. But
by 2003 the federal funding for the flood control project essentially dried
up as it was drained into the Iraq war. In 2004, the Bush administration cut
funding requested by the New Orleans district of the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers for holding back the waters of Lake Pontchartrain by more than 80 percent.
Additional cuts at the beginning of this year (for a total reduction in funding
of 44.2 percent since 2001) forced the New Orleans district of the Corps to
impose a hiring freeze. The Senate had debated adding funds for fixing New
Orleans' levees, but it was too late.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune, which before the hurricane published a series
on the federal funding problem, and whose presses are now underwater,
reported online: "No one can say they didn't see it coming ... Now in the wake of one
of the worst storms ever, serious questions are being asked about the lack of
preparation."

The Bush administration's policy of turning over wetlands to developers
almost certainly also contributed to the heightened level of the storm surge. In
1990, a federal task force began restoring lost wetlands surrounding New
Orleans. Every two miles of wetland between the Crescent City and the Gulf reduces a
surge by half a foot. Bush had promised "no net loss" of wetlands, a policy
launched by his father's administration and bolstered by President Clinton. But
he reversed his approach in 2003, unleashing the developers. The Army Corps of
Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency then announced they could
no longer protect wetlands unless they were somehow related to interstate
commerce.

In response to this potential crisis, four leading environmental groups
conducted a joint expert study, concluding in 2004 that without wetlands protection
New Orleans could be devastated by an ordinary, much less a Category 4 or 5,
hurricane. "There's no way to describe how mindless a policy that is when it
comes to wetlands protection," said one of the report's authors. The chairman
of the White House's Council on Environmental Quality dismissed the study as
"highly questionable," and boasted, "Everybody loves what we're doing."

"My administration's climate change policy will be science based," President
Bush declared in June 2001. But in 2002, when the Environmental Protection
Agency submitted a study on global warming to the United Nations reflecting its
expert research, Bush derided it as "a report put out by a bureaucracy," and
excised the climate change assessment from the agency's annual report. The next
year, when the EPA issued its first comprehensive "Report on the Environment,"
stating, "Climate change has global consequences for human health and the
environment," the White House simply demanded removal of the line and all similar
conclusions. At the G-8 meeting in Scotland this year, Bush successfully
stymied any common action on global warming. Scientists, meanwhile, have continued
to accumulate impressive data on the rising temperature of the oceans, which
has produced more severe hurricanes.

In February 2004, 60 of the nation's leading scientists, including 20 Nobel
laureates, warned in a statement, "Restoring Scientific Integrity in
Policymaking": "Successful application of science has played a large part in the
policies that have made the United States of America the world's most powerful nation
and its citizens increasingly prosperous and healthy ... Indeed, this
principle has long been adhered to by presidents and administrations of both parties
in forming and implementing policies. The administration of George W. Bush
has, however, disregarded this principle ... The distortion of scientific
knowledge for partisan political ends must cease." Bush completely ignored this
statement.

In the two weeks preceding the storm in the Gulf, the trumping of science by
ideology and expertise by special interests accelerated. The Federal Drug
Administration announced that it was postponing sale of the morning-after
contraceptive pill, despite overwhelming scientific evidence of its safety and its
approval by the FDA's scientific advisory board. The United Nations special envoy
for HIV/AIDS in Africa accused the Bush administration of responsibility for
a condom shortage in Uganda -- the result of the administration's evangelical
Christian agenda of "abstinence." When the chief of the Bureau of Justice
Statistics in the Justice Department was ordered by the White House to delete its
study that African-Americans and other minorities are subject to racial
profiling in police traffic stops and he refused to buckle under, he was forced out
of his job. When the Army Corps of Engineers' chief contracting oversight
analyst objected to a $7 billion no-bid contract awarded for work in Iraq to
Halliburton (the firm at which Vice President Cheney was formerly CEO), she was
demoted despite her superior professional ratings. At the National Park Service,
a former Cheney aide, a political appointee lacking professional background,
drew up a plan to overturn past environmental practices and prohibit any
mention of evolution while allowing sale of religious materials through the Park
Service.

On the day the levees burst in New Orleans, Bush delivered a speech in
Colorado comparing the Iraq war to World War II and himself to Franklin D.
Roosevelt: "And he knew that the best way to bring peace and stability to the region
was by bringing freedom to Japan." Bush had boarded his very own "Streetcar
Named Desire."

This is one of the sickest statements I have seen so far. Since 1969 the problem that exists today has been forcasted. Using the logic from above one could say why didn't clinton do anything about this during his eight years in office. how about going all the way back to Kennedy. All the US National Labs that are operated by the US DOE are notoriously GOP oriented. They all like weapons and wars and many are operated by big war monger contractors like Lockheed-Martin. Lockheed-Martin is big time into the jet business and it is easy to get their ear in high places to point to serious problems and toss out the ideas to fix them before they became worse.

In the 1980s, places like Oak Ridge were just becoming aware of how much they had screwed up with their reckless persuits of nuclear bombs. Congress and the President wanted lots of bombs, as cheep as possible, and making the workers sick was of little concern.

Then in the 1980s, Environmentalists came along and shut down places like DOE's Rocky Flats plutonium core fab plant. Even got the plant's managers criminally indicted by the FBI's Environmental Crimes Unit. This got all the DOE up in arms. DOE plant managers had thought they were immune to rules and regulations up till then.

DOE HQ in DC commissioned reports like The State of the Oceans Report by the ORNL Environmental Sciences Division. This report was all about forewarning the DOE of things to come that would get into the field of view of environmentalists. The big ORNL Oceans report was all about the impact of energy systems on oceans. Something that DOE was supposed to be entirely aware of, but the assessment was so bad it forewarned of Environmental disaster.

Twenty-four nations signed the original agreement, and though that was only a small portion of the world, those twenty-four nations were responsible for 99 percent of the total world consumption and 90 percent of the production of CFCs.

ORNL's entry into doing this Ocean's Report that addressed the impacts of Energy Systems on Oceans was the Clarion Call for attention. So, the UVb and Freon problems hit the forefront and the impact of this on ocean plankton and cloud forming systems over the Southern Oceans became a seriously hot issue.

ORNL's Environmental Sciences had one of the better Limnologists trained by Michigan State's Dr. Robert Wetzel, who was tops in the country. So the research product for DOE-HQ was going to be a top quality forecast of problems to come.


Once it was pinned down that the phytoplankton damage and the DMS and DMSO problems played a major role in the global warming effects and increases of CO2, then came the ideas for large systems that could in some way mimic or replace the losses of this effect. I was the first to realize that jet planes were of a large enough scale operation to gain a foothold on the problems.

I pointed to the simple fact that jet emissions of that era were causing positive GWP effects and some rather simple changes could be done to change that to negative GWP effects and make jets emissions less destructive. And forecast that unless these things were changed that Jets would be subject to limitations and regulations to limit global warming. The survival of the jet commercial service depended upon addressing this issue. Places like Lockheed-Martin that ran ORNL was quick to grab onto these ideas.

I was the first to come up with varied ideas to not only change the jets into negative GWP, but ways that could greatly increase those effects. Ways that were economical and realizable on a global scale. Jets could make massive amounts of cloud systems and since the incident radiation from the sun and this cloud reflection dominates the heat retention term for Earth, it would be able to affect global warming.


At the very same time, it was realized how the fluoride effects of DOE's operations had damaged the health of literally thousands of Oak Ridge workers. This happened via the fluoride accumulation in the Pineal Gland and AlF3 problems in mimicry of the TSH hormone. This was also the major element for problems like Mad Cow and even AIDS, as this same mechanims is in play. The coal emissions of HF and metals were making these problems in grazing animals, and this was the beginning of the titanium techniques. The titanium technique is being used on a very wide scale in all the human food chain these days.


So, basically the problems forecast was so bad---that Lockheed-Martin, DOE, Congress, the President, and EPA decided to cover it all up. Hide it, avoid having to explain that DOE had not done its job in protecting its workers from toxic problems, but also had failed to protect the global community from the serious problems of the ozone depletion. It became a time when the Govt. failed to do its job massively and they switched into essentially obstruction of justice type things to dodge the train wreck being disclosed. Essentially in Oak Ridge all the managers are afraid that they will all end up criminally indicted like the Rocky Flats managers that allowed the plutonium to blow in the wind from the plants knocked out filter systems.


The realization was that careless releases of freon from DOE weapons production, women's hair spray cans, car air conditioners, and etc. in the Nothern Hemishere had come to highly damage the ozone layer in the Southern Hemisphere and cause untold harm. Harm now that we all have to deal with for many decades to come.

Lots of it was cut back quickly. DOE is changing to centrafuge enrichment for uranium slowly--which does not need the Freon intercooler to keep the process from blowing up. Women's hair spray no longer uses CFC propellants. This slowed down the ozone hole some, but enough CFC are still being made to cause problems. Only way to address it is to make it all public.

Put the DOE crooks in jails, take the Congress and President with them---and let the Environmentalists notice that their concerns were valid all along.

The Bush administration is making no secret of its determination to punish whistle-blowers and other federal workers who object to the doctoring of facts that clash with policy and spin. The blatant retaliation includes the Army general sidelined for questioning the administration's projections about needed troop strength in Iraq, the Medicare expert muted when he tried to inform Congress about the true cost of the new prescription subsidies and the White House specialist on climate change who was booted after complaining that global warming statistics were being massaged by political tacticians.

We agree with critics like Congressman Rahm Emanuel, the Illinois Democrat, who has tracked a long list of abused federal workers who should be applauded, not penalized, for their dedication. The latest victims include Bunnatine Greenhouse, a career civilian manager at the Pentagon. She was demoted from her job as the top contract overseer of the Army Corps of Engineers after she complained of irregularities in the awarding of a multibillion-dollar no-bid Iraq contract to a subsidiary of Halliburton, the Texas-based oil services company run by Dick Cheney before he became vice president.

Ms. Greenhouse made complaints internally, then publicly, describing the contract as "the most blatant and improper contract abuse I have witnessed." Recently, Ms. Greenhouse was ordered removed for "poor performance," just as unfairly as the administration forced out Lawrence Greenfeld as director of the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Mr. Greenfeld's sin was to stand fast against senior political appointees intent on watering down a study's finding that blacks and Hispanics were subject to more searches and force in police traffic stops.

Damage control is a political hallmark of any administration. But the Bush team is taking it to the most destructive extreme.

Is Global Warming Making Hurricanes Worse?

Hurricanes bring winds and slashing rains that flood streets, flatten homes, and leave survivors struggling to pick up the pieces. But has global warming given the storms an added punch, making the aftereffects more dreadful?

According to hurricane historian Jay Barnes of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina, ocean heat is the key ingredient for hurricane formation. More heat could "generate more storms and more intense hurricanes," he said.


Numerous studies in recent years have found no evidence that the number of hurricanes and their northwest Pacific Ocean cousins, typhoons, is increasing because of the rise in global temperatures.

But a new study in the journal Nature found that hurricanes and typhoons have become stronger and longer-lasting over the past 30 years. These upswings correlate with a rise in sea surface temperatures.

The duration and strength of hurricanes have increased by about 50 percent over the last three decades, according to study author Kerry Emanuel, a professor of atmospheric science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.

Emanuel's finding defies existing models for measuring storm strength. Current models suggest that the intensity of hurricanes and typhoons should increase by 5 percent for every 1ºC (1.8ºF) rise in sea surface temperature.

"We've had half a degree [Celsius] of warming, so that should have led to a 2.5 percent increase [in intensity], which is probably not detectable," Emanuel said. "What we've seen is somewhat bigger than that, and we don't really know why."

One possibility, Emanuel said, is that ocean temperatures may be increasing more quickly than atmospheric temperatures.

"When that happens we've shown theoretically you get an increase in the intensity of hurricanes," he said.

Anatomy of a Hurricane

According to Barnes, who has authored several books on U.S. hurricane history, the physics of hurricanes are complex and full of variables. "But the sun beating down on Earth is the primary thing that gets it going," he said.

Barnes explains in his book North Carolina's Hurricane History that the summer heat warms the ocean's surface and spurs evaporation. As heat and moisture rise into the atmosphere, billowing clouds, scattered showers, and thunderstorms form.

As the thunderstorms multiply, they can get picked up by low-pressure systems drifting through equatorial waters, forming a tropical depression.

The spin of the Earth causes the winds within the storm to whirl around the center of the low pressure. This spinning can form an eye of a storm.


The strongest part of a hurricane is the eye wall, on the edge of the calm center. "The size of the eye wall can vary, and the intensity of the storm can vary depending on how much heat is available" and other factors such as high altitude winds, Barnes said.

According to Emanuel, if global temperatures continue to rise, it is reasonable to assume that hurricane activity will increase, as there is more heat to drive the storms.

Global Observation

Previous studies have tried to measure whether typhoons and hurricanes were becoming more frequent. Emanuel's research, however, focused on the total energy generated by the storms over their duration.

"They can have the same frequency, but if they get stronger or last longer this metric will show an increase," he said.

When Emanuel looked at the hurricane record in the North Atlantic, where the storms of most interest to U.S. residents form, he found that intensity fluctuated from decade to decade.

This fluctuation roughly corresponded with factors such as the El Niño weather phenomenon, which has been shown to influence hurricane formation.

However, North Atlantic hurricanes account for only 12 percent of the total number of hurricanes and typhoons that form globally each year, Emanuel said.

"If you look at a more global measure of this metric, you don't see these strong interdecadal swings. They cancel each other out between one ocean and the other," he said. "You see instead a large upward trend."

According to Emanuel, on a global scale, the strength of storms corresponds with ocean temperatures: It goes up when temperatures go up, down when temperatures goes down.

Most scientists say the rise in sea surface temperature in the last 30 to 50 years is a signal of global warming.

"That's their conclusion, not mine," Emanuel said. "[But] it would follow reasonably well from this metric that the upswing [in intensity] … is a result of global warming."

ORNL and DOE-HQ were doing some of these same secret reports on Energy Systems impacts on the Oceans back in the middle 1980s and this lead to the discovery of these same type extreme problems in this secretive Pentagon Report discussed below.

The ORNL report done for DOE-HQ was purely about forewarning DOE of what the environmentalists would soon come after. DOE saw environmentalism as something that could well shut them down and put them in jail, they tried to make environmentalists their enemies.

Oak Ridge has known the problems and their direct role in worsening many of them since the middle 1980s. All of it has been suppressed from public knowledge.

One of the most interesting associations with Oak Ridge and the Manhattan Project is that it was spawned by the Jews wanting to blow up Hitler, because Hitler was resisting an oppressive money system in Europe dominated by Rothschilds banking.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `Weather Modification Research and Technology Transfer Authorization Act of 2005'.
SEC. 2. PURPOSE.

It is the purpose of this Act to develop and implement a comprehensive and coordinated national weather modification policy and a national cooperative Federal and State program of weather modification research and development.
SEC. 3. DEFINITIONS.

In this Act:
(1) BOARD- The term `Board' means the Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board.
(2) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR- The term `Executive Director' means the Executive Director of the Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board.
(3) RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT- The term `research and development' means theoretical analysis, exploration, experimentation, and the extension of investigative findings and theories of scientific or technical nature into practical application for experimental and demonstration purposes, including the experimental production and testing of models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes.
(4) WEATHER MODIFICATION- The term `weather modification' means changing or controlling, or attempting to change or control, by artificial methods the natural development of atmospheric cloud forms or precipitation forms which occur in the troposphere.
SEC. 4. WEATHER MODIFICATION ADVISORY AND RESEARCH BOARD ESTABLISHED.

(a) IN GENERAL- There is established in the Department of Commerce the Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board.
(b) MEMBERSHIP-
(1) IN GENERAL- The Board shall consist of 11 members appointed by the Secretary of Commerce, of whom--
(A) at least 1 shall be a representative of the American Meteorological Society;
(B) at least 1 shall be a representative of the American Society of Civil Engineers;
(C) at least 1 shall be a representative of the National Academy of Sciences;
(D) at least 1 shall be a representative of the National Center for Atmospheric Research of the National Science Foundation;
(E) at least 2 shall be representatives of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the Department of Commerce;
(F) at least 1 shall be a representative of institutions of higher education or research institutes; and
(G) at least 1 shall be a representative of a State that is currently supporting operational weather modification projects.
(2) TENURE- A member of the Board serves at the pleasure of the Secretary of Commerce.
(3) VACANCIES- Any vacancy on the Board shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
(b) ADVISORY COMMITTEES- The Board may establish advisory committees to advise the Board and to make recommendations to the Board concerning legislation, policies, administration, research, and other matters.
(c) INITIAL MEETING- Not later than 30 days after the date on which all members of the Board have been appointed, the Board shall hold its first meeting.
(d) MEETINGS- The Board shall meet at the call of the Chair.
(e) QUORUM- A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum, but a lesser number of members may hold hearings.
(f) CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR- The Board shall select a Chair and Vice Chair from among its members.
SEC. 5. DUTIES OF THE BOARD.

(a) PROMOTION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT- In order to assist in expanding the theoretical and practical knowledge of weather modification, the Board shall promote and fund research and development, studies, and investigations with respect to--
(1) improved forecast and decision-making technologies for weather modification operations, including tailored computer workstations and software and new observation systems with remote sensors; and
(2) assessments and evaluations of the efficacy of weather modification, both purposeful (including cloud-seeding operations) and inadvertent (including downwind effects and anthropogenic effects).
(b) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE- Unless the use of the money is restricted or subject to any limitations provided by law, the Board shall use amounts in the Weather Modification Research and Development Fund--
(1) to pay its expenses in the administration of this Act, and
(2) to provide for research and development with respect to weather modifications by grants to, or contracts or cooperative arrangements, with public or private agencies.
(c) REPORT- The Board shall submit to the Secretary biennially a report on its findings and research results.
SEC. 6. POWERS OF THE BOARD.

(a) STUDIES, INVESTIGATIONS, AND HEARINGS- The Board may make any studies or investigations, obtain any information, and hold any hearings necessary or proper to administer or enforce this Act or any rules or orders issued under this Act.
(b) PERSONNEL- The Board may employ, as provided for in appropriations Acts, an Executive Director and other support staff necessary to perform duties and functions under this Act.
(c) COOPERATION WITH OTHER AGENCIES- The Board may cooperate with public or private agencies to promote the purposes of this Act.
(d) COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS- The Board may enter into cooperative agreements with the head of any department or agency of the United States, an appropriate official of any State or political subdivision of a State, or an appropriate official of any private or public agency or organization for conducting weather modification activities or cloud-seeding operations.
(e) CONDUCT AND CONTRACTS FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT- The Executive Director, with the approval of the Board, may conduct and may contract for research and development activities relating to the purposes of this section.
SEC. 7. COOPERATION WITH THE WEATHER MODIFICATION OPERATIONS AND RESEARCH BOARD.

The heads of the departments and agencies of the United States and the heads of any other public or private agencies and institutions that receive research funds from the United States shall, to the extent possible, give full support and cooperation to the Board and to initiate independent research and development programs that address weather modifications.
SEC. 8. FUNDING.

(a) IN GENERAL- There is established within the Treasury of the United States the Weather Modification Research and Development Fund, which shall consist of amounts appropriated pursuant to subsection (b) or received by the Board under subsection (c).
(b) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS- There is authorized to be appropriated to the Board for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this Act $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2005 through 2014. Any sums appropriated under this subsection shall remain available, without fiscal year limitation, until expended.
(c) GIFTS- The Board may accept, use, and dispose of gifts or donations of services or property.
SEC. 9. EFFECTIVE DATE.

This Act shall take effect on October 1, 2005.

Dear Mr. Bush:

Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and
thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on
earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help
finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use
them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with
national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of
Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was
pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without
power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans.
That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt
your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had
fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure
showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to
Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let
people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the
heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you
specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer
for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut
the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to
fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for
them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved
by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew
over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know
you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a
commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it
against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to
nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the
water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this
inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is
nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having
one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent
of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation
to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened
to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for
five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters
and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are
near Tikrit.

The Hard Lessons to be Learned from Katrina

Katrina was a disaster of man's making due to two principle reasons. One is most of the city of New Orleans is below sea level with very weak protection by Levees. New Orleans was built upon Mississippi silt, which naturally sinks over time. These Levee were not kept up very intentionally. Two is the hurricanes are becoming more numerous and stronger due to the Global Warming effects on the mid-Atlantic sea currents similar to the El Nino effects putting more moisture into the air. It was only a matter of waiting for New Orleans to go under, letting the death tolls maximize, then coming in late with help that displaces the entire city.

Rises in ocean surface temps correspond to rise of water in the atmosphere and more energy loaded into the air from heat retention that turns into more frequent and more powerful storms.

The El Nino type effects are highly driven by heating of the Southern Oceans due to loss of reflective clouds. The deep sea currents connect the mid-oceans to the southern-oceans. There are reasons why the hurricane season peaks in September and the Ozone Depletion that makes the Ozone Hole peaks at this same time. Huge hurricans pull up more salt and chlorine into the air, some of which becomes involved in the ozone depletion. It is a highly interconnected global feed-back system at work.

New Orleans was a weak link in the US coastline due to its below sea level problems. Simple Rebuilding of New Orleans will likely not be a worthwhile effort, as the rising sea levels that will come from the polar and glacial ice melts will soon raise the sea levels and places like New Orleans will become the first of many area write offs. New Orleans fell to Katrina and there will come other storms even stronger, and after that rising sea levels from global warming that the levees won't be able to keep back.

Proper leadership in the US would simply and frankly tell people that New Orleans will at some point have to be written off, or huge tall levees be built and critical equipment placed on well above sea level built up locations. Galveston, Texas was built up on higher ground to fix their hurricane and Levee problems. Else, all rebuilding efforts for New Orleans will soon become just all too expensive wasted efforts to ward off something that will become inevitable. Nature is going to reclaim New Orleans, their ground sinks, the oceans rise, and the storms grow stonger and more frequent.


New Orleans was fragile and so are the cloud systems that control ocean surface temperatures and each are related. Both due to man's failings to be proper stewards for the environment.

This is only the beginning. The prices will become more extreme, if not exploited.

Just like it was cheaper to have a terrorist incident for the WTC than to do that azbestos abadement clean up, and it all went to trillions more toward Israel's sinister games of conquest at America's expense. New Orleans was an area with many sick and disabled people that were just too poor and too disabled to leave the area. Lots of this came from all the oil refineries / chemical industries there and the bad air pollution and some from all the pollution of the US coming down the Mississippi River. Clean water and clean air is a real problem in New Orleans and it shows up in this disaster. New Orleans has some of the highest rates of kidney disease and need for dialysis in the US. It also has high rates of AIDS, respiratory problems, mental illness, and other problems. This compounded the New Orleans disaster.

So, it comes down to the American People waking up and holding the "Three Blind Mice" leadership of the Presidency (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld) and the Neo-Con's (Chertoff, Wolfowitz, etc.) accountable, or expect more of the same. One can see more effort and billions went into Israel protection than the poor blacks and sick of New Orleans. This Zionist effort has closed all kinds of military bases in the US (and dumped thousands of US jobs) and opened all kinds of new military bases in Israel, Iraq, Dubai, and all over the Middle East. Zionist Chertoff is all about protecting Bush-41 / 43 from getting tossed in prison for the Zionist motivated JFK shooting and the cover up of massive problems of global warming no longer being natural acts of God, but acts of man's (DuPont) environmental recklessness.

World Opinion (An Israel View in this case) on the GOP's Sinking of the City of New Orleans and the speading of protection of the US so thinly that thousands died and this killed a principle US port city.

Perhaps Lousiana Governor Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Nagin need to get with their DA's and bring murder charges against a long line of people that took needed funds from Levee upgrades for the City of New Orleans, leading to the deaths of 10,000 people.
