Keeping in mind the philsophical differences, Arianna's book might well have the same long-lasting impact created decades ago by Ayn Rand! It is high time to cut through both the Right and Left zealots' policies, the lassitude of the Center, the myopic pursuit of greed and power, and the incredibly wasteful extremes of American life.
In my book, THE CHRISTMAS STRIKE (ISBN 1-4116-1163-2), I voice similar dissent in fictional form and call attention to the issues of the immediate future, including a potential new terrorist threat (pooh-poohed in actual Congressional sessions !), the newest political and military exposure in West Africa, and the extreme level of subterfuge and hypocrisy in current American politics in both political camps.
