There a lots of postings defaming one or a few obnoxious contributors. I don't like censorship. But I also admit I found the "offending" contributors really were offensive. And the one/few really have had made this forum much less enjoyable. E.g., "Two Iron" (it's ironic he misspelled "IQ" in his name) is a perfect example.
Should "Two IQ" be bounced if over 100 members complain? 1,000? It seems like a slippery slope to me.
But I sure would love the ability to add him to a list of users I choose not to ignore. If I add a member to my ignore list, none of his postings would appear on my browser. A further refinement might be that I could specify I wanted to ignore any member that has been "ignored" by over a 100 members. "Two IQ" can post new messages 12 hours a day - they wouldn't bother me at all.
I realize this is a technology solution, but I sure love the technology option of changing the station or turning off the set if Rush Limbaugh comes on and starts talking about how drug users should be thrown into jail.
