Hi Robb,

I wasn't sure where to post this so figured I would post it here. If nothing else, it will give you a brief respite from the Esbe/kehvan nonsense.

I received an email about a response on a topic. I have received a lot of those and have had no problem linking to the forum. However, last night I was trying to connect to a link and was unable to. Not only that, it showed a box stating that there was a problem with the email sent to me. On top of that, my Outlook Express freezes now whenever I try to link to this site from your emails.

I don't know if there is anything on your end that you can do. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. I don't have any trouble linking with other emails that are not from you. Thought you should be aware.

I ran a Norton virus scan and my computer is clean.

Can you cut and paste the URL of the 'box' in an email and send it to me? Also, let me know exactly what time you try to connect to the link again and I'll also look at the server logs to see if there's anything that I can figure out from there.

At this point I haven't heard any other issues. As for Outlook crashing, i doubt that it's connected to something at this end. You might need to rebuild your outlook db, but as I'm a Mac user, I don't have any idea how you might go about doing that. :(

Good Luck. :D

Robb,

I deleted a bunch of files and I rebooted. It appears to be working now.

I was concerned because the message that caused the problem was a response from kehvan. As you might be able to tell, I do not hold him in high regard and view his participation with guarded suspicion.

I am relieved this it is fixed and that it was nothing on your end.

Thanks for the quick response. :D

Hi Robb,

I too received an email reminder from Kehvan.

I don't remember checking that provision when I registered.

But I note that I have not received any other emails from other posters. How come that is so?

The only email I have received after many posts and responses, it came from Kehvan. And, I'm least interested in him as I know him quite well through many of his posts from the previous forum that the kept spamming.

Could you do something to stop my receiving pm's/emails from Kehvan?

I will appreciate your help in this respect. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Bertrand

I suggest forum users consider the Linux operating system as it has a lot less of these types of problems.
